WLAN Draft-N Tests
The IRT evaluates latest Draft-N-Wireless-LAN access points with integrated internet router (WLAN router) and carries out measurements of coverage, data transfer rate and quality of service (QoS). The devices are tested in an office environment with the main focus on the two aspects data rate and coverage.
On the basis of data rate measurements, the IRT tests the performance of the standard IEEE 802.11n (Draft) with digital video as well as with VoIP (Voice over IP) and compares different versions. The measured data are analysed and technically explained.
Furthermore these studies can provide an informative basis about the efficiency of the WLAN router in the SOHO environment (Small Office, Home Office). This is of great interest in the context of Triple Play and DSL for wireless home services.
