Demands and technical expectations concerning TV production (production of TV programmes) have risen considerably in the recent past. In order to continue fulfilling all these requirements, broadcasting organisations are compelled to extensively restructure their production technology and workflows.

Desired increases in efficiency can only be achieved by further digitisation and automation of production resources and processes. Efficiency can also be enhanced by greater incorporation of computer and network technology in studios during programme production, reworking and storing.

The "Production Systems Television" Department spearheads the implementation of these innovative technologies.
