In our playout-centers for DVB-T, DVB-T2, DMB, DAB, DAB+ we offer comprehensive function tests of transmitting equipment and receiver devices. Furthermore we operate our own multiplexes to provide test signals.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the field of national and international frequency and transmitter network planning allow us to offer comprehensive and optimal support in all questions of frequency management as well as frequency and transmitter network planning for broadcast systems.
Consulting services of IRT with regard to frequency and network planning cover all frequency bands available for broadcasting in compliance with the ITU Radio Regulations and other international agreements.
In order to fulfill the high demands of our customers, we offer broadcast compatibility measurements in the laboratory as well as on site in our van, which is equipped with cutting-edge measuring equipment, and we develop our own software tools:
With the 2D and 3D wave propagation models, IRT has developed software for improved propagation prognoses of electromagnetic waves in the VHF and UHF range (for broadcast coverage prediction). During simulation, the 2D model considers the reflections on the channel receiver level; the more complex 3D model additionally calculates the reflection contribution in the case of multi-channel propagation, which enables a more precise prognosis especially in irregular terrains.
FRANSY is a professional planning system for terrestrial digital (DVB-T, DVB-T2, DAB, DAB+) and analogue broadcast services (FM radio, analogue TV), developed by IRT in cooperation with the public broadcasters in Germany and con terra GmbH.
With FRANSY IRT offers its partners and customers a planning tool that enables them to adequately react to the requirements from the dynamic environments of frequency and network planning.
