Production
Production systems in the television and radio range are increasingly based on computer software. In addition it can be foreseen that in the future production processes will increasingly run automated. Meta data will play an ever larger role in particular in connection with the archiving and procurement of content.
This change means that the individual software components must be joined to a consistent IT-based production system and the software modules must be adapted to the requirements of future production systems.
The IRT works on the necessary specifications and implementations of interfaces, in order to enable planning, exchange and extension of software and hardware components in complex systems. One of our core tasks is the professional consultation of broadcasters and manufacturers regarding the necessary interfaces of software-based production systems.
