ENTHRONE (End-to-End Quality of Service through Integrated Management of Content, Networks and Terminals) is an integrated project in the thematic priority “Information Society Technologies” of EU Framework Programme 6. The ENTHRONE project focuses on end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) over heterogeneous networks and terminals.

INSTINCT aims to create convergent services for mobile users by blending broadcast networks and wireless communications. This would result in added value for everyone involved: end users, broadcasters, and wireless providers. There is a particular emphasis on the terrestrial DVB standards DVB-T and DVB-H in conjunction with GPRS and UMTS.

A project funded by the European Commission, studies the potential for upgrades to high-speed network infrastructures. The project’s emphasis is on the applications of next-generation optical networks such as the transmission of uncompressed studio signals.
