Nokia Home Communications (NHC) is part of Nokia Ventures organisation. NHC has it's R&D and head office in Finland. The home environment is an essential part of Nokia' s global mobility strategy. Today, NHC sells terrestrial (OFDM), cable (QAM) and satellite (QPSK) receivers. NHC launched the world's first digital television receiver with Common Interface early in 1997 and in the same year NHC was also the first company to demonstrate Internet access with digital TV receiver. Nokia has been an active member of MHP specification work. NHC is also a founding member of MHP Test Consortium.
