09/07/2007 — IRT and Xpertia Soluciones Integrales to integrate product solutions for Digital TV Laboratories
The companies have started collaboration to integrate IRT’s DVB Playout Server, broadly employed worldwide, into Xpertia’s LabMU (Multi-user Digital TV Laboratory) to improve the multiplexing features.
Munich/Madrid, August 31, 2007: The Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) and Xpertia Soluciones Integrales (XPERTIA) have signed a contract under which IRT’s widely proven DVB transport stream multiplexing and playout solution will be integrated into LabMU, thus providing the ability of efficient multiplexing and Object Carousel generation for DVB-MHP interactive television. LabMU is a complete multi-user digital TV laboratory for educational and preproduction purposes, which allows to design and create a complete digital TV tx/rx chain for multi-user environments. LabMU has already been successfully sold and installed in Spain, and is on its way of being commercialized Europe-wide. IRT’s DVB Playout Server allows, with great flexibility, to create MHP Object Carousels multiplexed into operational transport streams.
