IRT at the ITS WORLD 2012, in Vienna
The global ITS community will come together from 22 to 26 October 2012 in Vienna to discuss the latest trends and policies in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The hottest topics in smart transport will be addressed in depth: this is the only congress in the world to include such a wide range of subjects, and the only occasion to get an overview of such a diverse variety of technologies, systems, services & actual deployments.
A trouble-free southbound journey
To the collaborative demonstration from TISA (Traveller Information Services Association) and the EU-Project EasyWay (Hall B, booth E40) IRT contributes its TPEG decoder as well as its Android-based presentation engine. The demo not only shows the interoperability between DATEX II – a standard for information exchange between traffic control and information centers – and TPEG, but also a TPEG-based application that presents alternative route recommendations to the end user, which even work across country borders. Having the EasyWay focus in mind – the improvement of the trans-European transport network – the demonstrator shows the corridor through the alpine countries as an example.
Furthermore, IRT presents its DAB test- and reference receiver DABScout2 for digital radio services, which also includes TPEG.
On Thursday 25 October 2012, the 19th ITS World Congress will open its gates to the general public. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience, free of charge, the exhibition, demonstrations and technical tours to investigate new products and solutions for intelligent transport systems and services in real life.
