The Interoperable Master Format (IMF) is the new  standard by SMPTE for storing and delivering finished A/V productions. The IMF package contains MXF files for audio, video, subtitles and metadata. In a single IMF package, several versions for various applications (e.g. different languages, subtitles) and also different technical versions (e.g. video codecs, image resolutions) can be described by the included metadata. As it is always the case with new standards like IMF, there is an inherent need to ensure implementation conformance on the manufacturer side. Products supporting IMF are essential for content exchange and for the establishment of interoperability between components and applications. Hence, it is crucial to ensure that products implementing IMF do comply with the relevant specifications.

Therefore, we invite manufactures and vendors of IMF products to attend on the first IMF PlugFest at IRT. Especially we are looking for attendees who have already products in the market or are short before launching such products.
